Students in grades 9 through 12 have a unique opportunity to complete their High School education with a Canadian diploma.
We take pride in delivering a well-rounded, personalized education that focuses on the development of the student both inside and outside of the classroom. We aim to provide students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in an ever-changing world and instil in them a passion for learning.
A major goal for our High School students is to prepare them to become contributing adults in our changing global society. Participating in cooperative education can be a powerful tool for helping students to understand the value of postsecondary education and to capitalize on the possibilities and pathways available to them.
Providing students with the opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes they will need to be effective in the workplace is an important component of this preparation.
Students in grades 11 and 12 can choose Cooperative education as one of their course pathways. Cooperative education enables students the opportunity to develop Essential Skills, an awareness of where their talents and interests may take them and the ability to practice classroom learning in the workplace.
Students will also experience work life and develop knowledge that will assist them in making sound educational and career decisions.
These opportunities can best be provided with a partnership between school and business/industry.
Cooperative education supports students in making meaningful community connections in the longer term, helping them to realize their potential as individuals, to participate in a highly skilled workforce, and to be active, engaged, and compassionate citizens.
