Leadership & Volunteering

At CSF, we encourage our students to seek out their own volunteer and fundraising opportunities which they are passionate about.

This experience enhances their leadership and organisational skills, grows their social awareness and allows them to improve their community of choice.

Volunteering hours are required as part of the Ontario curriculum for Senior School students, who must complete 40 hours over four years to graduate and be awarded the Canadian Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The selection and management of the involvement is directed by the student, and the Guidance Counselor offers support and guidance to students on appropriate types of activities and projects.

At the Junior School campus, one way we encourage leadership is through the CSF Buddy Program, in which Grade 5 students aid younger students in reading and other activities throughout the year.
