The Canadian School of Florence (CSF) is ushering in the new year with a transformative development that promises to elevate the educational experience for students and families. This initiative reaffirm CSF’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation, positioning the school as a leader in international education in Italy.

Launch of the Italian Stream at CSF High School

Starting in September 2025, CSF is proud to introduce an Italian stream at its high school, available to Grade 9 students. This pioneering program paves the way for the school to achieve paritaria status, enabling students to graduate with dual diplomas: the globally recognized Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and the prestigious Italian Maturità (Liceo Scienze Umane).

“This new option reflects our dedication to offering personalized pathways that meet the diverse aspirations of our families,” said Isabelle Leblanc, Head of School. “Students who choose the dual diploma will benefit from the unique strengths of both the Canadian and Italian systems, opening doors to opportunities worldwide.”

The OSSD will remain the school’s core offering, providing flexibility and international recognition. The Italian stream is designed to complement this, offering families a robust alternative for those seeking a blend of local and global academic qualifications.
