Globeducate MUN 2026 - Nice, France

The Globeducate Model United Nations (MUN) 2026 conference provided an immersive educational experience that brought students together to step into the roles of diplomats and address some of the world’s most pressing global issues through debate, collaboration, and critical thinking.

The conference, held on the French Riviera, welcomed approximately 180 students from more than 20 Globeducate schools around the world, including 5 CSF Senior School students: Laura, Sebastian, Oliver, Tancredi, and Fernanda. Throughout the event, students represented different countries and worked within specialized committees. They drafted resolutions, negotiated solutions, and engaged in structured debates while following official United Nations procedures.

Participation in MUN allowed students to develop a wide range of valuable lifelong skills. These included public speaking, persuasive writing, research, leadership, diplomacy, teamwork, and problem-solving. The experience also deepened students’ understanding of international relations, global citizenship, and the importance of respectful dialogue across cultures and perspectives.

More than simply a conference, MUN proved to be a transformative learning experience that helped build confidence, foster empathy, and empower young people to become informed, articulate, and engaged global citizens.

Committees

The conference featured five committees:

1. Economic and Social Council

2. General Assembly

3. Security Council

4. UN Office on Drugs and Crime

5. UN World Tourism Organization

Awards

Each of the five committees presented the following awards:

• Best Delegate Award

• Best Resolution Award

• Most Improved Delegate

In addition, every delegate received a certificate of participation in recognition of their involvement and contributions during the conference.

Cultural Experience

As part of the programme, students and their coordinators spent an evening exploring the beautiful old town of Antibes. The evening concluded with a shared dinner at a local restaurant, providing participants with an opportunity to relax, reflect on the conference, and connect with peers from schools around the world. The event ended with a lovely gala dinner.
