Grade 8 "Levels Up" and Makes it into High School

It was a joyous occasion this afternoon as the Grade 8s got their moment in the spotlight as they received their end-of-the-year certificates and awards (The Principal's Award went to Tom N. - congrats!) and listened to touching speeches given by the Head of School, Middle School staff, and classmates, like Esmè G.P.W., the Salutarian, and Erik R., the Valedictorian - where he explained the origin of the word "graduate", meaning "stepping up" and then broke it down for his fellow comrades into a familiar gaming term "levelling-up" - to which all the kids chuckled.
