Multicultural Day 2026 - Celebrating Homes Around the World

MAY 28

The most awaited event of the year finally arrived! It was a time when our school community from all campuses came together to celebrate our origins and our international makeup.

This year’s theme was “Homes Around the World,” and students took part in workshops that explored the idea of “home” and what it meant for each of us — whether it was a certain place, a physical building, or simply a feeling. Throughout the day, the campus was filled with creativity, curiosity, and shared stories about the many ways we define home.

Parents and families enjoyed a full day of activities, including an international food fair, music, and an international flag parade that highlighted the diversity of our community. The celebration also welcomed several special guests who helped make the event even more memorable. Among them were Engels & Völkers partners, whose colorful graphics beautifully complemented the theme of the day, as well as representatives from Misericordia Fiesole, and the Mayor of Fiesole.

A main highlight was the flag parade and top-notch performances, singing and poetry, by students from Grades Prekindergarten to Grade 12. Thank you to all of our high school volunteers to help lead, along with our fabulous teachers, the morning workshops for younger students. They also helped with attendance and photography. A big thanks also goes to the staff organizers for weeks of hard work and logistical organization. And a special thanks to our family volunteers with organizing the fantastic international food fair and decorations.

Another exciting part of the celebration was a spectacular performance by the Sbandieratori Fiorentini della Signoria, whose traditional flag-throwing display captivated the audience and brought a vibrant touch of Florentine history and culture to the event.

It was truly a day of community, culture, and celebration — a moment when our many “homes around the world” came together in one place.
