CSF Present at the Globeducate International Music Festival in Spain...

From 27–30 January, two of our Grade 5 students, Julia B. and Gaia T. took part in an unforgettable journey at the Globeducate International Music Festival, hosted by Agora Lledó International School. Over these inspiring days, more than 300 students from 24 Globeducate schools came together, united by a shared love for music.

This year’s theme, “Beyond Words: Music as the Universal Voice,” was beautifully expressed through the chosen piece, Symphonic Adiemus by Karl Jenkins. Blending European classical music with rhythms and sounds inspired by cultures from around the world, the piece uses invented syllables in its choral parts, transforming the human voice into a universal instrument. In doing so, it transcends language barriers and invites performers and audiences alike into a deeply emotional and shared musical experience.

The highlight of the festival was the concert on 29 January, held at the Auditori i Palau de Congressos de Castellófrom 18:30 to 20:30 CET. For the first time in the festival’s history, students performed an original musical work using the official Adiemus scores, allowing all participants to engage with the music exactly as envisioned by the composer.

Events like this are truly one-of-a-kind opportunities for CSF students. Beyond the music itself, the festival enriched their academic and social experience, encouraging collaboration, cultural exchange, and meaningful connections with peers from all over the world. These are moments our students will remember for a lifetime, learning not only how to perform together, but how to come together as global citizens, united by the power of music.
